Tikona Fort Trek near Pawna Dam: Pictures

Tikona (Triangle) is a pyramid shape fort near Pawna Dam, Lonavala. A simple 1 hour trek takes you to a small well fortified fort. The views from the fort are extremely beautiful (one of the best lake views in sahyadris) as one can see the huge pawna lake in its full glory. Lohagad, Visapur and Tungi forts can also be seen. To reach this fort, reach kale colony near pawna dam. The trek starts few kms from kale colony. Kale colony can be reached car by taking a pawna nagar road from kamshet on old mumbai pune road. kamshet can be reached by taking the kusgaon exit on mumbai-pune expressway. check this driving map from Mumbai. Few ST buses are ply from lonavala to Kale colony.
