The history of rockport area spans centuries as one of the first european explorers came and settled in this area. Rockport is known for its granite quarries, Tourism, Fishing and timber.The Motif Number 1 is a fishermans building and is known as one of the most photographed building in the world. People inclined to arts and paintings can easily recognise this building. This builing can be seen in various books, movies, photographs and paintings.
