Fort Trek to Peth (Kothligad): Pictures & Images

Peth (Kothligad) is a small submarine shaped fort around 20 kilometres from Karjat near mumbai. The fort belongs to sambhaji's empire and has an interesting history. The fort cave itself has been carved out of stone which has different rooms, doors and pillars.

Also the wide staircase to top of the fort has been beautifully carved out from stone. This is a good fort for people who have just started trekking. Bhimashankar, padargad, Matheran, siddhagad and other locations can be seen in vicinity.
