The pic on this page is from Lonavala,between Mumbai and Pune , the most famous hill station/retreat and trekking destination. In Rainy season this hill station is foggy, cold and rainy most of the times attracting mumbaikars and punekars to escape the heat and enjoy the cool weather and the rains.
Lonavala also has attracted more trekkers, hikers and casual rain enjoyers due to presence of forts like Lohagad, Visapur, Korigad, Rajmachi, Duke's Nose in the vicinity and places like Bhushi Dam, Tiger's Leap. Khandala another popular hill station is nearby lonavala.
Korigad fort is a simple and an ideal easy trek for beginers for nature lovers near mumbai and pune. The Amby valley resort can be seen from this fort.
Kune falls in a huge grand waterfall near lonavala and remains active for long time even after the monsoons are over.
